Enuuk / phpauction - BUYERS BEWARE

Looking to buy Enuuk formerly phpauction by Subastas. Well, buyer beware. My organization had purchase the software for $945 on August 19th. From the minute it was installed we discovered numerous bugs that make the software worthless:

a) the time remaining on an auction is not portrayed properly. It seems that there is a bug such that the time remaining only is displayed properly when the auction is viewed in the same time zone as Spain (where the software was developed). Great thinking guys

b) you have the ability to have users pay with paypal or google. The payment icon when you click to pay redirects you to a test site. Great beta testing guys.

c) when a user clicks on the link to sell and auction, they will get a fatal error. The worst part about it is that the fatal error appears randomly. Great alpha testing guys.

d) When a user logs in, they experience an endless circle of being asked to log-in. Great if you would like to frustrate your users out of your site.

e) When a user sets up a webstore and painstakingly add a bunch of items, customer can only see the last 6 items added. The rest disappear into the abyss. Vigorous testing obviously wasn't done here.

f) winners do not get emails. Instead, the email gets bounced due to the addresee not being included in the email string.

and the list goes on.

The worst part about it, the vendor;s response time is poor. You can't speak to a person, the only way to resolve this is to post a support ticket and hope someone sees it. It took over two days in the first instance for them to read and acknowledge my ticket. Then they pursued to blame me for the fact that the time on the auction wasn't showing the proper time remaining. Great customer service guys.

After 20 days of funding new bugs each day and ticking off half our subscribers, I asked a refund. Guess what- they actually had the gall to request possession of my domain name in order to get a refund. After I filed a charge back request with my credit card company, they offered to meet me half way and refund half our money stating that they spent a lot of time fixing the bugs and were losing money. WOHHH here. Not only are they asking me to test their product, but they are asking me to pay for half of the cost to fix their own bugs.

I am writing this because I don't want you to be robbed from these crooks like I have. I may be out of $1,000, but not without a fight. As for the company, it is outside the US, so there is little recourse other than that offered by my credit card company. I just hope enough people see this and don't fall into the same trap.

And we have moved on to use someone elses services.
